Recently I got the urge to build something. I came across a blog that had so many great ideas. When I saw the play kitchen, I knew I wanted to try to build it for Kira for Christmas. So, late October I asked my dad if he would help me pull it off. We got together once a week for a couple of weeks, then a couple of days a week for the last two weeks before Christmas. We did the finishing touches on Christmas eve. Talk about cutting it close. We even made time in early December to make Andrew a play work bench for Christmas. That only took about an hour in all to build. This is my very first project. Thanks to my dad who taught me how to build, and worked many long hours with me! It was well worth it!
Ange learning how to use a drill.
Joshy gets a turn too.
Puttying up the screws and holes.
We had some help from Ange, and Caitlyn on the sanding.
Just needs to be primed, painted, and the finishing touches.
Andrew's work bench. Our side project.
Primed.
We painted the doors with magnetic primer, and chalk board paint.
Painted.
We added vinyl tiles for a countertop.
We stained and added a finish on the work bench.
We added the finishing touches, including the curtain I sewed.
Merry Christmas Kira!
Merry Christmas Ange!
